Knowledge base (RAG)
Each project has its own knowledge base. You upload sources into it, and the agent answers customers based on their content. This lets it give accurate answers about your services, pricing, terms, and policies — without inventing anything beyond the uploaded materials.
⚠️
How it works
- You upload sources into the project’s knowledge base.
- The content is indexed and bound to that project (each project has its own isolated base).
- During a conversation, the agent retrieves relevant fragments and builds its answer based on them.
Supported sources
- PDF — documents, price lists, policies, instructions.
- DOCX — Word text documents.
- URL — website pages (for example, an FAQ section or service description).
- Text — arbitrary text pasted directly in the dashboard.
How to upload sources
- Open the dashboard at dashboard.maia-ai.com.
- Go to the project you need.
- Open the project’s knowledge base section.
- Add sources: upload files (PDF, DOCX), provide a URL, or paste text.
- Save — the content is indexed and becomes available to the agent.
How the agent uses the base
When a customer asks a question, the agent searches the project’s knowledge base for relevant fragments and answers based on them. The more accurate and up-to-date your sources are, the more accurate the answers. We recommend keeping materials current and removing outdated ones.
